Talk about your time here, what challenges did you face and how were they overcome?

I have worked at JB Leitch for over 8 years and whilst working here, I have completed my degree, LPC and training contract to become a qualified solicitor.

The challenge has been to balance my personal life, my studies and work all at the same time. I’ve had to have lots of talks to myself to stay on track and remain determined.

What are your thoughts on the culture of JB Leitch?

It has a fun atmosphere, there’s lots of variety in the work that we do. Although demands can become complex, there’s always lots of support from all areas of the business.

Why do you value working in a specialist environment?

I can be really good at what I do and be an expert. I can understand my client’s needs and tailor advice to their exact requirements.

Our clients can know that when they instruct us they can trust our advice and our conduct.

If you were to recommend JBL as an employer, how would you describe them?

It’s a supportive environment, there are lots of resources to learn and receive training to do your job well. It’s a business that recognises individual potential and celebrates success.

CAN YOU SUMMARISE YOUR ROLE?

My work is varied and challenging. I am involved in cases that involve the tribunals, fire safety issues, recovery of arrears and breaches of lease. My time is also spent on research on case law and what’s going on in this industry.

Christian Cameron

What was your first role with JBL?

My first role was as an office junior, supporting general administration and filing duties. With time and training I became a case handler on the Ground Rent Recoveries team and progressed to become an Account Manager managing my own caseloads and clients.

I have completed an apprenticeship while working at JB Leitch, enabling me to gain a Level 3 Legal Environment qualification.

I have also completed a Level 3 Institute for Leadership & Management qualification fully supported by the firm.

I am now Business Development Executive reporting to the Directors. I build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients, offer advice and support teams across the business.

How are things going in your role?

My role is varied and busy and there’s lots of opportunity to develop the business. I’m also studying for my Law Degree with the Open University.

What is the best thing about working here?

There’s lots of opportunity for progression and the support provided for gaining qualifications is extremely good.

Everyone was really friendly and approachable, from the most junior to senior positions.

Talk about your time here, what challenges did you face and how were they overcome?

I started as an Office Assistant in the Facilities team.

There are lots of social events which are arranged by colleagues and seasonal celebrations organised by the firm - so a great environment to get to know colleagues and make friends!
