Elise is a paralegal within the Technical and Complex Team at JB Leitch, specialising in property litigation with a focus on client communications, legal research and administrative support for complex matters.

Joining the firm in December 2023, Elise brings a unique blend of skills to the role, with a background in administration and property management. Elise’s previous experience in property management has provided a solid foundation for her work within property law. With a Law degree and master’s degree in Real Estate, Elise combines academic knowledge with practical insights to support the team’s legal functions efficiently.

In her role as a paralegal, Elise is an integral part of the Technical and Complex team, assisting with a range of legal tasks related to property law matters. Her responsibilities include drafting statements, conducting legal research, liaising with courts and tribunals, and assisting with the preparation of hearing bundles and applications, particularly under Section 20ZA Landlord and Tenant Act 1985. Additionally, Elise plays a vital role in managing the administrative side of cases, including raising invoices and preparing client communications. She is particularly engaged in complex landlord-tenant disputes, contributing to the team’s efficiency and supporting solicitors in navigating intricate cases.

Elise has demonstrated a strong ability to manage complex legal matters and contribute meaningfully to the resolution of challenging property law cases. Her expertise in property law is continually developing, with a particular interest in landlord-tenant legislation and dispute resolution.
