Key Responsibilities

  • The role will involve assisting in the administration and management of a caseload including duties such as:
  • Input, maintain and update information on the case management system and client systems
  • Review and assess fresh instructions in liaison with the appropriate fee earner and agree / document the appropriate course of action.
  • To monitor diary dates and ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Review documentation prior to drafting statements and claims.
  • Deal with routine incoming correspondence, drafting replies as appropriate and resolving queries.
  • Ensure financial transactions are dealt with efficiently and in accordance with agreed procedures.
  • Assist with reporting requirements, ensuring that information is up to date and provided promptly as required.
  • General administrative tasks as requested e.g. photocopying, filing etc.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Excellent IT skills including MS Office, naturally organised and able to work effectively under pressure in order to meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential. Experience of dealing with a volume of telephone calls from clients or customers is desirable.

The successful candidate will be able to work effectively within a varied team, have an extremely strong work ethic and the willingness to 'go the extra mile' when required to produce results or meet a deadline.
