Being a woman in a law firm has been both a journey of growth and a test of resilience.

As a Real Estate Paralegal, my days are filled with drafting Transfers, Deeds, and Lease Extensions, overseeing cases from file opening to completion, managing completions, supervising apprentices, and of course, plenty of emails.

Along the way, I’ve been mentored by incredible women who paved the way before me, and I’ve built strong relationships with male colleagues who actively champion equity and inclusion.

But one of the most rewarding parts of my career is mentoring younger women entering the profession. I see in them the same fire and determination I had when I started — and it’s inspiring to help nurture that potential.

For me, being a woman in law means stepping into spaces that weren’t always built for us, and choosing to stay, thrive, and succeed anyway.
